Production & Operations Assistant

Job Location: Our facility in Muskegon, MI

Job Hours: 25-30 hours a week. 4-5 days / week.

Pay: $20/hour

Job Details:  We are a small but rapidly growing kombucha brewery producing authentic, traditionally fermented kombucha for retailers across Michigan and the Midwest including Meijer, Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme, independent grocers, cafés, and specialty shops.

This is a hands-on production role inside an active brewery environment. Every week is different. The right person is someone who enjoys working hard, staying organized, solving problems, and being part of building something meaningful.

This position starts with apprenticing in brewing and packaging operations with opportunity for increased responsibility and long term growth as the company expands.

As our company continues to grow, we are expanding our operations, product development, and overall vision beyond kombucha alone. This role has strong long term growth potential for someone who takes ownership and thrives in a fast paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

o    Packaging Kombucha: Operating bottling line, labeler, changeouts, pallet stacking and wrapping.

o    Performing CIP (Clean In Place): Handling chemicals and hot water, working with pumps, hoses, valves and gauges

o    Cleaning and sanitizing tanks, dishes, equipment

o    Kegging finished product into various style kegs

o    Preparing fresh fruit: Washing, juices, food processing, portioning and storage.

o    Flavoring and harvesting kombucha: Recording PH, Brix, Titratable Acidity, ABV, inputting valuations into brewery software Beer30

o    Following Recipes and SOPS as written, updating as needed

o    Monitoring SCOBY Health, weekly ingredient preparations, referencing calendar daily

o    Stacking pallets for distributors, wrapping pallets and operating forklift for loading/unloading

This position requires capability to stand or walk for the majority of the shift, frequent use of both hands and arms, full and frequent manual dexterity, and the capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
